Timo Szober: OpenFriday: The Open Space Conference Format
As Developers, daily business is competing with our need to discover new technolgoies, try best practices and improve our skillsets. OpenFriday provides the means for this: A reserved time for developers to investigate new features, design patterns or open source contributions. In my presentation, i demonstrate the advantages of OpenFriday and how you can introduce and establish them in your company - with practical examples to illustrate the added value for you, your teams and your projects.

Timo Szober is a dedicated full-stack engineer, team lead and vocational instructor, working in software development since more than 10 years. His focus is on PHP with Symfony and Javascript with React and Vue. He has been a fan of Symfony since he got to know it in version 2.

David Buchmann: Simultaneous editing: Easy mode with Symfony UX and Hotwire
You no longer need to build a separate frontend application in Javascript to build fast interactive web applications. Hotwire Turbo loads HTML and fragments asynchronously and with Turbo Streams you can even push changes from the backend to the frontend. Hotwire Stimulus complements Turbo with a neat tool to implement Javascript logic for the places where you still need it.
Both are excellently integrated into Symfony with the Symfony UX components.

David Buchmann works at Liip AG as Symfony expert. He is active in several Open Source projects, notably the FOSHttpCache library and the HTTPlug client abstraction.

20:00 Drinks and chat with the Symfony community.

Would you like to present something? Please contact david@liip.ch with your talk idea. This is a great opportunity to get first experiences in public speaking. We would love to have some first-time speakers present something. Talks can be about an aspect of Symfony, a project you did that involved Symfony, or some general web topic that could be of interest to developers working with Symfony. If you feel you need some support in preparing your talk, please reach out, there are people with experience in public speaking that will be happy to help. Talks can be held in English or German.

Please let us know if you plan to come.
