What we're about

Public Group

Do you bike in the city?
Do you want to bike in the city?
Do you have friends who want to bike, but don't know where to start?
We need you!

We are a loosely organized volunteer group planning a series of accessible, non-competitive rides though urban San Francisco to give people a taste of every-day biking in the city.

You won't find a lot of spandex on fancy bikes here, or a throng of angry anarchic riders a la Critical Mass, we're mainly just regular bike riding folk.

Here's what we envision:
+ Tried and true routes through different parts of the city
+ An open format where riders can show up and ride the route in their own time for the duration of the event
+ Routes that end with a BBQ or picnic where riders can meet and mingle, and tell their ride stories

A note of caution: cycling is risky and cyclists often get hurt in accidents. So when you're out riding keep your eyes and ears open and your wits about you, always stay in the moment, and communicate to let the other road users know your intentions!
