If you love to read books and talk about all manner of things, join us for a lively discussion at a local cafe. We believe diverse peoples make us more interesting and strong. Join the fun!
On a budget? Most books are available free on the Los Angeles Public library app called Libby.
Book Selection Criteria
To help assure that we choose high quality books, they must meet one or more of the following criteria:
— Nominated for or won a prestigious award (Booker, National Book Award, etc.)
— Nominated on Top 10 Book Of The Year list by a major publication (LATimes, NYTimes, WashPost, WSJ, etc.)
— Author has received a major award for past publications
Preferable but not required:
— One person in group has read it.
— Available at library (print/digital)
