Re: [linux-5] Meetup details changed: The Singapore Linux January Meetup (Blender 3D Content Creation)

DEAR ALL,

I am a software beginner learner.  Can anyone of the software expert here please help explain some of the software jargon I come across in the internet forum such as :

1.  What is real meaning of software automation ?
2.  Is Windows MS operating system originated from COBOL ?
3.  Consider this statement by a software expert :

"   Some of the most noted problems of complexity are the black out in the East Coast of USA due to just one wrong ":" instead of ";" in C code and nuclear reactor disasters, while most people today are still trying to combat the viruses in their, by now, too complex personal computers. "

Anyone can decipher what is the meaning of this statement ?

4. What is a VIRTUAL MACHINE ?
5. What are integers in software language ?  ( Integers = native language ? )
6.  " Intel chips use bit mapping " and not integers. So what so important about integers in software automation ?  And what is native language  ?
7. What is a JAVA VIRTUAL MACHINE  ?
8, What is NATURAL LANGAUGE PROGRAMMING LANGAUGE ?

Thanks and best regards,
looi
