Introduction to Amazon Web Services

We will discuss concepts that overwhelm many new AWS Users, including pricing (free tier, hourly, reserved), creating an account, configuring billing alerts, and choosing availability zones (AZ).

We will discuss differences between Lightsail vs EC2 and demonstrate hosting a website on each platform.

Please join us for this first meeting, even if you are an experienced AWS user! We will also be discussing future group topics and meeting locations and would appreciate your feedback and support.

There is no charge to attend, but we will NOT be providing food/drinks. Please purchase food/drinks from the restaurant's lunch menu.
