The primary route to San Sevaine Lookout is a 8 miles dirt road drive and the road is rarely open. Other routes require private property crossings. So, we are going to try another approach suggested by Tom Becht on SummitPost.

We will use a very steep ridge that gains 3700' over 3 linear miles to access road 1N34. It will involve much possibly difficult bushwhacking. See http://www.summitpost.org/etiwanda-ave-ridge/374523

Besides the ridge, the remainder of the hike is on reasonable fire roads.

Once we get to 1N34, Buck Point is very close and San Sevaine Lookout should be 2 miles away, partly brushy and overgrown.

We will descend the way we came.

Stats: 13 miles, 4600' gain.
