He recently attended PyCon 2023, where he met Sebastián Ramírez, the creator of FastAPI, who inspired him to explore the possibilities of using Python for GitHub Actions.

Abstract:
GitHub Actions are a powerful way to automate workflows and integrate with other tools and services. In this presentation, you will learn how to create GitHub Actions using everyone's favorite language, Python. You will learn the basics of GitHub Actions, such as creating a workflow file, triggering a workflow, and setting up secrets. You will also learn how to use Python scripts and modules in your workflows and manage dependencies and packages. By the end of this presentation, you will have a solid understanding of how to use Python to create GitHub Actions that are robust, maintainable, and easy to use.

Our members include software developers, system administrators, hardware engineers, and software users of all levels of experience. Many work in the technology field as employees, contractors or consultants, and enjoy the learning and networking opportunities available from the group.
