Shades of Praise New Orleans Interracial Gospel Choir performs contemporary gospel music in the African-American style, introduces gospel to wider audiences across racial and denominational boundaries, and forges relationships that dispel stereotypes and create racial harmony.
Come sing with us! We are looking to recruit new members in all the sections - soprano, alto, tenor and bass. We rehearse every Thursday at 7:30pm. Very basic audition is required. If you love gospel music and always wanted to sing in a choir, now's your chance! Though we rehearse at a church, we are not affiliated with a specific church. So all religious/non-religious backgrounds are welcome. We have performances throughout the year. Come check it out!
