Labors of Love: The Life and Legacy of Henrietta Szold — Baltimore Premiere
Shalom Social Club has been invited to attend the Baltimore premiere of Labors of Love: The Life and Legacy of Henrietta Szold, a new documentary by Peabody Award–winning director Abby Ginzberg.
Henrietta Szold was a Baltimore native and one of the most influential American Jewish women in history. Founder of Hadassah, educator, humanitarian, and visionary leader, her work in Jewish education, healthcare, and social justice continues to shape Jewish life today. This film explores her legacy and the relevance of her leadership in our current moment.

The screening will take place on March 24 at 5:30 PM at The Gordon Center for the Performing Arts in Owings Mills, followed by a post-screening discussion with director Abby Ginzberg, Szold’s grand-niece Sally Levin, and Barry Kessler, curator of the Jewish Museum of Maryland’s Henrietta Szold exhibit.

In addition to her Baltimore roots, this documentary is for anyone interested in Jewish leadership, women’s history, Zionism, healthcare, education, or building community with purpose.

If you are a Shalom Social Club member aged 21-39, tickets are complimentary if registered by Tuesday, March 17th at 9 AM. Tickets for general admission are $18 and will be available for purchase at the door or pre-purchased from The Gordon Center.
