Dean has in-depth experience as CFO, COO, Corporate Controller, Business Strategist, Management Coach and Mentor in a broad range of industries. He has been on the executive team of more than 350 start-up companies during his career to date and brings a wealth of experience identifying opportunities, problem areas, and implementing creative solutions resulting in cost reduction, financing, and increased sales and profitability.

Operations Experience
For the past 20 years he has managed the accounting departments of many venture funded emerging technology companies, directing accounting and financing issues related to growth, cash management, cost containment, strategic planning, budgeting, building fundable business plans. During this time he has helped technology companies raise more then $300M in venture funds, strategic funds, and venture debt. He has been mentoring and coaching first time entrepreneurs for the past 15+ years in the US and China. He has also assumed the role of iCOO for several companies needing leadership in the areas of planning and operations.

Coaching
In the last four years he has been focusing his coaching on Chinese returnees. A majority of this time has been spent teaching Focus, Leadership, Communication, Management team building, Strategic Planning, Building Operating Plans, Establishing Milestones and creating Dashboards to measure progress.

China
Dean has lived and worked in China since 2005. His China experience includes working with US companies to establish WFOE’s, coaching young/first time executives and their teams. He has worked with a MNC to analyze and rebuild their CRM infrastructure, assisted several Chinese reverse merger public companies listed in the US, training their staff to establish budgets, forecasting and management reporting systems, prepare financials and MD&A’s for the 10Q’s and K, and set up internal control reporting to satisfy risk assessment and tracking to comply with Sarbox reporting requirements.
