Hike Into Nature in Hangzhou

Details
Join us to find the best places for a walk into nature in Hangzhou. We will spend a few hours hiking on the hill trails around the West Lake. Get adventurous and walk!
Take a morning high-speed train to Hangzhou followed by a taxi ride to the starting point of the hike in Zhejiang University.
Make our way to the very rear of the university to ascend Laohe Hill from which we can reach North Peak. This part of the journey is very popular among local hikers and it’s a path with countless stone stairs. The panoramic views of the lake and the surrounding hills are gorgeous.

After taking a short break on the North Peak where there is a temple for God of Wealth, we will continue our hike to Beauty Peak and Stone People Pavilion. It is a comparatively easy walk with a few ups and downs.
The real challenge comes when we make our way to Tianzhu Hill which is the highest in Hangzhou with an altitude of 412 meters. There are a number of difficult but rewarding ascents and descents. And instead of walking on well-paved road, we will be taking forest trails with low valleys and minor cliffs.
The good news is that the special treat is not far away. We will soon get to the most breathtaking spot -- Shi Li Lang Dang. Its winding stone paths are flanked by tea fields, modest trees and villages.

We will take a late lunch break by the tea fields and then walk to Five Clouds Hill where we can make our way down to Yunqi which is known for its bamboo forest. A stroll along the bamoo-lined path in this world of coolness and freshness is a tremendous joy and a great way to finish our hike.

Finally, we will get to the lake by taxi and find a nice local restaurant for dinner before we head to the railway station to take the high speed train back to Shanghai.
The price is RMB 200 per person which includes local transportation, water, snack, dinner and English-speaking guide. ( Please buy your own train tickets and bring lunch. If you need us to buy the tickets, please give us your personal ID or passport information. An extra RMB 180 will be needed. )
