Your amazing adventure won’t end at just this cultural food tour, but you will also see the highest and heaviest indoor Buddha figure in China located in the Yangcheng lake peninsula by the Chongyuan temple. Chongyuantemple, originally named Chongxuan temple and constructed about 1500 years ago by emperor Liangwudi, covers an area of over 200000m2. The mid lake Guanyin(Avalokitesvara) tower and Chongyuan temple compliment each other with radiance and beauty as they unfold before one’s eyes through a unique and magnificent look of dedication to Avalokitesvara.
Lastly we will travel to the old town of Suzhou. Only a 30KM drive away from YangchengLake, Suzhou is rich in culture, known for its historical wealth,and most famous for the Kun opera and Silk. For our last stop, we will visita silk museum and the Kun opera tea house.
Kun Opera is one of the oldest forms of Chinese opera. It evolved from the Kunshan melody and dominated Chinese theatre from the 16th to the 18th centuries. Since 2001, the Kun Opera is listed as one of the Masterpieces of the Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO.Here,we will enjoy a lovely drink at the teahouse and soft tender Kun melodies.
