About us
This group is for those who want to experience live shanty singing of traditional songs, where the audience is encouraged to join in singing the choruses. If you want to check what we look and sound like, you can watch a video on YouTube of clips of us performing on the Golden Hinde (near London Bridge Station) in August 2025. There's a link to it below. We perform there once a month on the second Wednesday of the month. from 7.30 pm to 10.30 pm. Entry is £10
We also perform at the William Morris Pub in Merton Abbey Mills once a month from 7pm, on the first Wednesday of the month. Entry is free and house drinks are half price from 6pm to 7pm
And we perform every third Wednesday of the month at the Tea House Theatre in Vauxhall, which is our poshest venue, with tables and chairs for all guests. Entry is £10
At all our venues, we hand out chorus sheets to all our guests, and nearly all the audience join in singing the choruses.
We welcome newcomers to shanty singing, as well as those who already know many of the songs. It's all about having a bit of fun. And most of the nights are.
By joining this group you will get emails reminding you of our bookings, about a week before they happen. If you want, you can e-mail is to ask any questions

The ship is currently in dry dock undergoing hull maintenance, and you can reach it by going to London Bridge Underground station, and from there it's five minute walk walk through Borough Market.
And, by the way, in 1975, this ship sailed from Devon to San Francisco, and from there onto Japan, where is starred in the original film production of Shogun
