Saturday Morning Catamaran Cruise
Details
I'm planning a fun bareboat charter around San Diego Bay and coastal waters aboard a Leopard 44 cruising catamaran for up to 12 people out of Harbor Island Saturday morning 7/18. For those new to catamaran sailing, a catamaran sails more comfortably than a monohull with little heeling (so it stays level) and is more spacious to stretch out and relax, so a full crew of 12 doesn’t feel crowded. The boat has comfortable saloon and cockpit areas and has three heads (bathrooms) and a large, bow area with a trampoline that allows a fun and safe way to interact with the water. No experience is necessary, take a turn at the helm and help with lines or just relax and enjoy the sail. We will gather from 10:00-10:30 to get checked in and load the boat for an 11:00 departure and be back at the dock around 2:30 PM. Parking is available at the Marina for $25. Bring layered, warm, and comfortable clothing, sunscreen, and a sense of adventure, and remember to bring your cameras for some unforgettable snapshots. A suggested contribution of $75 per person towards the shared cost of the charter will be appreciated. I will send the meetup details, location and my contact information to those that RSVP. I am also hosting an afternoon/evening sail from 2:30 PM – 7:00 PM aboard the same boat if you want to sign up for separately for that Meetup event and sail all day (7-8 hours). There is a refrigerator and a basic set of plates, bowls, cups, utensils, pots and pans on the boat. Please refrain from bringing glass bottles and/or glass containers when at all possible. There is no smoking or non-prescription drugs allowed onboard the boat. Sorry, but pets are not allowed on the charter.
