How to crack the Danish cultural codes? Work culture

Details

/PLEASE book your free tickets on Biletto./

The work culture is one of the most important topics in Denmark.
Important for Danes, as they are proud of it (efficiency, equality, work-life balance, security…). For foreigners – because they have to find themselves in a new environment with not-so-obvious, sometimes hidden rules.
It can be tricky... so we are here to help!

We have invited an expert in cultural differences within the Danish-international workplace, experienced in consulting in integration, HR and Danish work culture. Moreover - a great tour guide.
A genuine Dane, who understands foreigners, and for many years helped them to understand his country, and to feel welcomed in Denmark.
Ladies and gentlemen - we are proudly announcing our next guest - Jens Frahm-Rasmussen!

Gain insight into how Danish companies operate and how to communicate and navigate within them.
The objective of the event is to:
- explain the cultural aspects of a Danish workplace (how things happen inside the company walls),
- provide you with the tools to communicate with your Danish colleagues and managers in order to develop good relations and the best possible performance.

We will address key aspects of Danish workplace culture:
- the historic context of corporate culture in Denmark,
- flat hierarchy in Denmark (and what that means),
- how to balance between being dominant and ”invisible” in a Danish organization,
- how (and why) Danish management is often more focused on abstract principles than on concrete commands,
- direct communication, phone conversation and e-mail writing.

After the main part, there will be time for socialising, exchanging thoughts, and drinking some wine or beer.
