Two sides of Copenhagen

Another great trip around our beautiful city is near!
This time it will be a story about two different sides of Copenhagen - nobles and the poor, wars and love, building and destroying.
This great story will be told by Jane Engelund, a qualified guide, who knows the city through and through.

-----
We start at the Rosenborg castle, and the main figure, Christian the 4th – a Renaissance king, a builder, a warlord, and a loved king. We will put him in a bigger context, showing conflicts, relations, and political tensions with other queens and kings of his time. Explaining how that was shaping the city, and that are experiencing outcomes of it in our time.

We’ll go through Nyboder (a beautiful (nowadays) district of former Naval barracks) and the Marble Church (late Baroque, with an interesting, controversial story behind it!).

From there we’ll continue along the harbour to Nyhavn. Do you think that it is a great spot? Opposite maybe? In each case, the picture of “the other side” will fascinate you. Tons of stories can be told about this place; we’ll try to find the best ones.
The trip is around 2-3km. With stories and stops it will take approx. 2h.

Afterwards, we can go to eat something and chat/ socialize.
