Love art, enjoy discovering new places, or simply looking for a relaxed way to meet like-minded women? She Sees Art is a social group for women to explore Sydney's art and cultural scene together and make connections along the way.
Once a month, we'll meet for coffee, have a relaxed chat and get to know each other before heading to a gallery, exhibition or another cultural experience. Most outings focus on art and photography, with occasional museums, theatre, book fairs and other special experiences to mix things up!
You don't need to know anything about art to join us. Whether you're a regular gallery-goer, an artist yourself or simply curious to discover something new, you're welcome here.
What to expect:
☕ 10:00am — Coffee and conversation
🎨 Around 10:40am — Gallery or exhibition
- Women of all ages and backgrounds welcome
- No art knowledge required, just curiosity!
- Come on your own or bring a friend
- Free to attend, I prioritise free exhibitions and experiences where possible
- Everyone pays for their own coffee, food and any admission fees, which will be clearly stated in each event description if applicable
- Attendance limits vary depending on the venue and event
There's no expectation to attend every month. Join us whenever an outing takes your fancy!
Coming on your own? That's completely fine! She Sees Art is about enjoying art and culture together, discovering new perspectives and getting to know other women in a relaxed, welcoming setting.

We'll start with coffee at Sol Coffee House in Haymarket before heading to 4A Centre for Contemporary Asian Art to explore two exhibitions: Andy Ewing: Ancestor Spirits and Kirthana Selvaraj: In the Half Light.
The exhibitions close in mid-December, so I've added an extra November outing to the calendar rather than waiting for our next monthly event!

These contemporary art exhibitions explore cultural heritage, identity, queerness, sexuality, illness and the body. The works include personal and potentially challenging subject matter. Please feel free to read more about the exhibitions on the 4A website before attending.
⏰ PLEASE NOTE: THIS EVENT STARTS AT 10:30AM, a little later than some of our other outings due to museum opening hours. We'll meet for coffee before heading to the gallery at 11:00am. The event will wrap up around 12:00–12:30pm.

We'll start with coffee and a relaxed chat before heading to the State Library of NSW to explore 200 Years of Collecting, part of the Library's 200th anniversary celebrations.
What does 200 years of collecting look like? From a 1297 copy of the Magna Carta and medieval illuminated manuscripts to a snippet of Mary Shelley's hair, wine labels and bread wrappers, this exhibition brings together more than 200 fascinating objects. Discover how extraordinary historical treasures and everyday items can tell surprising stories about our world and the people who shaped it.
We'll also have the opportunity to explore other exhibitions and collections at the Library, depending on what's on display during our visit.
