What we’re about

WELCOME to She SUPs® - an all women's stand-up paddleboarding community! ⬇ START HERE ⬇
The She SUPs® Community was started to create a safe and supportive environment for women to try something new, learn, grow, connect with others and the planet and ultimately feel empowered through SUP adventures.

This meetup group and consequently She SUPs the business was founded and is managed by Vikki Weston, a Level 2 (Flatwater & Open Water) qualified SUP Instructor and winner of the NSW Office of Sport Local Champion Award for increasing female participation in sport in 2022.

Over the last 4.5 years (we are in our 5th season now woo!) She SUPs has evolved MASSIVELY from a meet-up group to become a fully qualified, insured and licensed SUP community and adventure business. Meaning we no longer only offer meet-up paddles, but we now offer instructor-led SUP Confidence Lessons, Social Paddles, Guided Half-Day SUP Adventures and Hosted Multi-Day SUP Trips and Retreats around Australia and New Zealand!!

All of this basically means all of our events are now listed on our website rather than meet-up! https://www.shesups.com.au/calendar

ADDITIONALLY, we have created our own meet-up style platform exclusively for SUP-loving women called the She SUPs Community Hub (woo!) This platform enables you to connect and meet-up with SUP loving women just like on meet-up... but we have moved it off MeetUp so that we have more control over the safety aspects of paddleboarding based meet-ups, we can provide tailored advice and tips on planning your paddles AND we can ensure the She SUPs unique supportive and inclusive culture continues to be cultivated.

It is recommended that you attend at least one instructor-led adventure before joining the Hub (you can choose your adventure here: www.shesups.com.au/calendar) this is to ensure all members on the Hub understand the supportive and inclusive She SUPs culture we aim to create and can gain a few tips and tricks to safely explore waterways before joining the meet-up groups!

We can't wait to see you on the water!

Vikki xx

******* Some FAQ's *******
So will ANYTHING be posted on this meet-up group?
Yes! We plan to host drinks meet-ups, events with SUP experts, and promote our annual BIG community meet-ups (such as Halloween, Christmas and others!) on here! So make sure you join to follow along!

What if I don’t have a SUP board?
For all She SUPs paddles you can bring your own SUP or hire one from us!

What if I have never paddled before?
Have no fear, you’re going to LOVE it. Also, it’s important to note that it may be called ‘stand-up’ paddleboarding, but you don’t have to ‘stand up’ if you’re not comfortable, you can have just as much fun, with a little more balance while on your knees or sat on your bottom! If you'd like to feel more confident on a SUP, you should join one of our SUP Confidence Lessons: www.shesups.com.au/sup-confidence-lessons

What if I’m an experienced paddler and don’t want to be slowed down by beginners?
Our pace for all She SUPs paddles is slow and steady. We are a social crowd and we're not here to race! Having said that, we do offer some longer distance paddles which may interest you? Check them out here: www.shesups.com.au/calendar

I have a heap more questions…
Don’t fear, you can just email me! Reach me at: vikki@shesups.com.au or send a DM on instagram! @shesups_
