Tara's father went from an incredibly successful career in tech sales to a psychotic break that destroyed his world just a month after he retired.
Thirty-five years of stress and work pressure that went undiscussed, unreleased, and uncared for nearly cost him his life. Through dozens of hospitalizations, two commitments, six suicide attempts, and even electroshock therapy, he somehow found his way through.
Then he started talking about all the things he couldn’t say before.
Through his experience and his stories, Tara realized that as a people leader, she needed to start paying closer attention to behavior. She began to notice moments in meetings where people hesitated, held back, or lashed out—and recognized that something deeper was happening. She knew there had to be a better way.
Tara shares the work she now does with organizations to help people pay attention to themselves and each other before the breakdown. She offers practical skills that participants can start using the moment they step out the door.
She Talks Data is a program funded and operated by the Moxy Foundation that brings together women in the Twin Cities area who work with data.
We seek to create a comfortable and supportive environment that encourages authentic dialogue and meaningful connections through small-group gatherings. Our goal is to build a close-knit community of women who can come together to grow professionally and personally.
