Full description:
We start by walking through woodlands along the River Don and then there is a hill to climb that will lead us to Green Moor and Hunshelf Quarry. We then head along the Trans Pennine trail towards Thurgoland where we can stop for a drink at the Bridge Inn if there is interest. Finally there is a bit more woodland and river walking before we make our way back to Deepcar.
Be prepared:
Please remember to dress appropriately for the time of year, with plenty of warm clothes and waterproofs, as well as food and drink. Further information on what to bring an be found on our website here:

Public transport or car sharing options:
There is a bus leaving Sheffield Interchange at 9.45am that will get you to Deepcar for 10.30am. Please get off at the bus stop to the left of the Royal Oak pub (S36 2QX). Please check the bus times yourself as they can change.
Parking: You can park on Station Road for free (S36 2UQ). Once parked go to the end of the road and turn left up Vaughton Hill and you will see the meeting point which is the bus stop to the left of the Royal Oak pub (S36 2QX).

Sign-up for this walk opens 5 days before the event. If you sign up and can no longer make it, please be respectful of others and remove yourself from the event so that others can take your place. We request you do this ***NO LATER THAN 6pm*** the night before the walk.
