Full description:
Starting in Eckington, we head west through the countryside and woods towards Coal Aston. We’ll walk through Eckington Park, then pass Never Fear Dam and the Bridge Inn in Ford. After that, we’ll find some more footpaths and walk along roads for a bit, before heading into another forested area. From there, we emerge at the edge of Coal Aston. Please note that getting to a public transport stop from the finish will likely require some extra distance.

- Bus 50 (gold) to Chesterfield (Sheffield Interchange D5, 17:25 > Prince of Wales/Church Street, 18:01)
- Bus 53 to Mansfield (Sheffield Interchange D6, 17:40 > Prince of Wales/Church Street, 18:09)
Getting to the start from Chesterfield:
- Bus 50a to Sheffield Centre (Cavendish Street T1, 17:15 > Prince of Wales/Church Street, 17:55)
Getting to Sheffield from the finish:
- 20 min walk + Train to Sheffield (Dronfield Station platform 2, 21:03 > Sheffield Station, 21:13)
- 20 min walk + Bus 75 to High Green via Abbeydale Road (Dyche Road/Ormond Road, 20:25, 21:26 > Sheffield Arundel Gate AG123, 21:01, 22:01)
Getting to Chesterfield from the finish:
- 20 min walk + Train to Chesterfield (Dronfield Station platform 1, 21:14 > Chesterfield Station, 21:19)
- Bus 44 to Chesterfield (Wilson Road, 21:02 > Chesterfield Elder Way, 21:30)

Sign-up for this walk opens 5 days before the event. If you sign up and can no longer make it, please be respectful of others and remove yourself from the event so that others can take your place. We request you do this ***NO LATER THAN 6pm*** the night before the walk.

Sheffield 20’s and 30’s Walking Group is part of the Ramblers, a registered charity. All of our leaders are volunteers.
