Full description:
Starting from Moscar, we head south over the top of the moors towards Stanage Edge. We stay on the same path to Upper Burbage Bridge, which is where the section 4 route ends. However, because there is no public transport from this point, we head down towards Hathersage and catch the train back to Sheffield.

Public transport or car sharing options:
Getting to the start from Sheffield:
- Bus 257 to Square via Broomhall/Crosspool (Sheffield Interchange D3, 17:00 > Manchester Road/Moscar Lodge, 17:23)

Getting home from the finish:
- Train to Sheffield (Hathersage Station platform 2, 20:43 > Sheffield Station, 21:00)

Additional info:
This walk is part of the 'Spring Weekday Walking Challenge'. Join us in trying to make the most of British Summer Time this Spring by completing all 10 sections of the Sheffield Country Walk! More info here: https://www.sheffieldwalkinggroup.org.uk/spring-challenge

This challenge and the corresponding walks are for Ramblers members only, so we require a membership number when signing up for the walk. If you’re not yet a member, you can sign up here: https://www.sheffieldwalkinggroup.org.uk/faqs. If you want to try out the Sheffield 20s & 30s Walking Group before becoming a member, we recommend joining our socials and/or weekend walks.

If you’re a member, you can join the walk even if you don’t want to participate in the challenge (but challenges are fun, so we encourage you to try walking all sections!).

Be prepared:
Please remember to dress appropriately for the time of year, with enough layers, sun protection if required, a waterproof, and food and water. Further information on what to bring can be found on our website here: https://www.sheffieldwalkinggroup.org.uk/be-prepared

Sign-up:
Sign-up for this walk opens 5 days before the event. If you sign up and can no longer make it, please be respectful of others and remove yourself from the event so that others can take your place. We request you do this ***NO LATER THAN 6pm*** the night before the walk.

Please note:
Sheffield 20’s and 30’s Walking Group is part of the Ramblers, a registered charity. All of our leaders are volunteers. Everyone is welcome to join us on our walks, there is no need to contact us in advance, and as long as you have a place on our Meetup booking system you can just show up. Non-members can come on up to 3 walks before joining the group. After 3 walks, we require you to sign up as a Ramblers member for insurance purposes. More information about the group can be found at https://www.sheffieldwalkinggroup.org.uk/faqs.
