Full description:
It’s heather time! Let’s go and enjoy the pinks and purples up above H(e)athersage on Eyam Moor. We’ll head up and up through the bracken and heather, and all the way up to William Hill trig point for a lunch stop with a view. From William Hill, we’ll make our way back down with views over Bretton Clough, then down through the woodlands to Hathersage to a pub for a well-earned refreshing drink.
Public transport or car sharing options:
- 272 bus departs Sheffield Interchange at 10:30 and arrives in Hathersage for 11:10.
- The 11:15 train from Sheffield arrives in Hathersage at 11:34.
Those of us getting the bus will walk to the station to meet those getting the train as it’s on the same route. If you’re driving, please offer lifts in the Meetup comments, and meet us in one of the two places listed above.
