Full description:
This delightful circular walk explores some of the lesser-known areas south of the city. Starting in Totley, we will take in ancient woodland and fields of the Cordwell Valley to discover some fine old 16th and 17th Century halls. Expect good views of North Derbyshire and Totley Moor along the way, and a few gentle climbs. There is a pub at the end of the walk where we can get a drink while we wait for the bus home.
Public transport or car sharing options:
Catch the 97 bus, which leaves Arundel Gate stop AG123 at 08:53am, goes along Abbeydale Road, and arrives at Totley Hall Lane at 9:21. The 218 departs Sheffield interchange at 09:10 travels along Ecclesall Road and arrives at 09:36. Please check bus times yourself in case of changes. Return buses are ever 30-60 mins (approx). Lots of free street parking in the area.
