Full description:
Let’s face it you can’t beat Burbage and the area around Fox House for a good walk! We will do a circuit out from Fox House, taking in the rock formations of Higger Tor and Carl Wood and looping in the top end of Padley Gorge. The route will take in rough and rocky tracks and paths, with the odd boggy patch. As ever come with plenty of warm and windproof layers as we plan to stop en route to have lunch.
Public transport or car sharing options:
The 272 bus leaves Sheffield interchange 10:30 to arrive at 11:01. As always, please do check the bus timetable prior to travel for any potential changes. Please post car sharing offers and requests in the Meetup comments.
Be prepared:
Please remember to dress appropriately for the time of year, with plenty of warm clothes and waterproofs, as well as food and water. Further information on what to bring can be found on our website here: https://www.sheffieldwalkinggroup.org.uk/be-prepared

Please note:
Sheffield 20’s and 30’s Walking Group is part of the Ramblers, a registered charity. All of our leaders are volunteers. Everyone is welcome to join us on our walks, there is no need to contact us in advance, and as long as you have a place on our Meetup booking system you can just show up. Non-members can come on up to 3 walks before joining the group. After 3 walks, we require you to sign up as a Ramblers member for insurance purposes.
