Full description:
From Matlock, we will walk part of the White Peak Loop by the Heritage Peak Rail Line and turn off by Warney Brook to head to the village of Two Dales. From Two Dales, we enter Hall Dale and walk along Halldale wood, by Sydnope Brook, Potter & Fancy Dams, Halt Wood and up into Upper Hackney village. We will get some great views as we walk through Upper Hackney of the Derwent Valley including Matlock town, Darley Dale and High Tor. Finally, we will walk past Mount Pleasant Farm and then steeply descend down the hill back to Matlock for a drink.

This will be a fast-paced walk (requiring a good level of fitness) and could be muddy or boggy in places so sturdy walking boots are required.
