Full description:
Starting from Silkstone Common station we head through Silkstone Fell woods, before picking up the Silkstone Wagon Way for a couple of miles. Then it's paths across farmland to reach Cannon Hall country park which will be out lunch stop with time to use the cafe, visit the farm shop etc. We then take a different route back to the station using paths through the villages of Cawthorne and Silkstone.
On the return to Silkstone, there is an option of a couple of miles circular to find the Huskar Memorial, a part of local history.
Please be aware that this will be a muddy or boggy walk (requiring sturdy walking boots).

Public transport or car sharing options:
Take the 09:35 train from Sheffield to Silkstone Common arrives 10.12. The walk leader will travel by train and we will depart shortly after the train's arrival. Return journeys are hourly.
Please offer lifts in the comments. There is on street parking near the start point; please get considerate of local residents.

Sign-up for this walk opens 5 days before the event. If you sign up and can no longer make it, please be respectful of others and remove yourself from the event so that others can take your place. We request you do this ***NO LATER THAN 6pm*** the night before the walk.
