Buzzing in Bakewell

We have updated the meeting point to show the first pub in Bakewell which is The Manners at 12 Noon. This pub is ideal for us to muster and they have been forewarned that we are coming. The full list of pubs are as follows along with the times hosts will be there:

The Manners, Haddon Road. 12 noon to 12.45pm.**

The Peacock / Queens Hotel. Bridge Street Bakewell. 1 pm to 2pm. (The pubs may be busy and we may spread between the two based on preference).

The Castle from 2pm to 2.45pm .For those wishing to visit Thornbridge Brewery Tap we will leave the Castle at 2.45pm for the 15 minute walk to the Brewery. The walk is flat and should be undemanding for most people of average fitness.

The Joiners / Red Lion 4.15pm to 5.30pm

The party returning from the brewery will then arrive at The Joiners which is a micropub opposite the Rutland Hotel. If this is not to your taste we can overflow to The Red Lion in Rutland Square where the hosted event will end. People may wish to remain in Bakewell for longer after the event has finished.

(Anyone not visiting the brewery tap but still wishing to visit pubs may wish to try The Wheatsheaf until we reconvene and/ or visit other Bakewell attractions).

As the hosts will be escorting the brewery tap tour, they will be away from the centre of Bakewell between 2.45pm until approx 4.15pm at The Joiners.

Some members may however wish to visit other attractions because Bakewell has so much to offer. Maybe take a walk by the river, a visit to the museum, or a walk to the impressive church. You may also wish to visit one of the many tea rooms or maybe the original Bakewell
Pudding Shop.

For those travelling from Sheffield we will catch the 10.40 bus (218) from Platform D3 at Sheffield interchange. should you wish to use that service. Some members may wish to join us in Bakewell if its more convenient for them and if they are travelling from other areas.
