Scenic Walk from Curbar

We meet at the bottom of Bar Road, Curbar at 9.30am for a 9.45am start. From here we will walk down into Curbar village and pick up the path that runs alongside the river to Froggatt and continue on to Grindleford. Here we will have elevenses before ascending up through Haywood onto Frogatt Edge and Curbar Edge. We then drop down under Curbar Edge , through ancient woodland, back to the parked cars. Tea / Coffee afterwards in Curbar Craft / Tea Shop.

The walk is 6 miles long with brilliant views throughout. It has been assessed at Grade 2 which means paths with some moderate ascents and descents. The walk has been fully risk assessed and is led by a walk leader qualified to Level 4 Outdoor First Aid.

Please ensure that you bring proper hiking boots/ shoes a waterptoof fleece a rucksack and food and drink for refreshments. No dogs on this walk please.
