Come to the legendary local venue that is Crookes Social Club and enjoy an evening of fabulous live indie/new wave/punk music featuring The Zeroes, The Ventilators and Bad Combover.

The band members are blood cancer consultants, doctors, researchers and supporters, all raising awareness and funds for research into Myeloma. I saw them recently and they were great - the whole evening will be a lot of fun!

This is a ticketed event, with the proceeds going to Sheffield Hospitals Charity for Myeloma Research. Please only mark yourself as Attending when you have bought your ticket.

(There is a personal back-story to this... My sister Jaqui was diagnosed with the incurable bone marrow cancer, Myeloma, in 2015. She had brutal, but eventually successful treatment and has had 10 years remission. The Myeloma came back last year, as we knew it eventually would, and she is currently undergoing treatment again. The good news is that the treatment for Myeloma has moved on massively in the intervening years, thanks largely to research funded by efforts like this, so that this time instead of brutal chemotherapy and a stem-cell transplant, she 'only' has to undergo twice-weekly chemotherapy - and it looks like it's going to succeed! The hope is, the research team will have developed a cure by the time it comes back again.)
