A Walk from Baslow

Join me for a 5.5-mile walk from Baslow.
We meet at the top of Eaton Hill (the road by Il Lupo) at 1030 for an 11 am start on the green, where we can get a coffee from the post office.
We will arrange pick up and drop off from Waitrose Car Park at 0945hrs
Or if wishing to travel by bus, the 218 from the interchange at 0940 hrs.
The walk starts by walking up Bar Road (ancient packhorse route), then across meadows to Curbar Village. We continue a very gentle ascent through ancient woodland to arrive on Curbar Edge. From here, we follow the good path to Curbar Gap, where we cross the road and continue to the Eagle Stone.
Here we will have our packed lunch, and after lunch, make our way back along Bar Road to Baslow.
We should be back in Baslow for 3,30ish and from here we have a choice of refreshments.
The walk is an easy walk on good paths. and will be at a gentle pace to enable us plenty of time to enjoy the magnificent scenery.
As usual, I recommend walking boots or shoes, a waterproof jacket, a packed lunch and a drink.
