Full description: We will start in Sheffield station under the plaque commemorating the first Clarion Rambler walk; this is besides Superdrug in the station.
From then on it is lion hunting time! We will head down to Victoria Quays then on to the canal. Deviating off the canal to see lions at the Canon Medical Arena, Olympic Legacy park, English Institute of Sport, Ice Sheffield and Sheffield Arena. We will finish the walk at Meadowhall.
This will be a leisurely walk to give time to admire, photo and log the lions we find (there will be an app to log them).
We will proceed up to Park Hill flats to see the newly installed statue from a Chelsea Flower Show garden.
Public transport or car sharing options: Range of buses go near the train station / bus interchange or 5 minute walk from Arrundel gate for other buses. Blue tram stops at the station.
There are car parks at the station but they may be pricy. Instead could use Meadowhall or Hyde Park park and ride then get yellow tram to Fitzalan square then swap to a blue tram to the train station.
From the end at Meadowhall there is the tram, lots of buses and trains back to Sheffield train station.
