The Roaches, Hen Cloud and Lud's Church Walk + Scramble

Details
Buried deep in the South West corner of the Peak District and across the Staffordshire border, this walk provides less familiar Peak District landscapes and, for many, a new place to explore. Delve through the unusual rock formations of Ramshaw Rocks, a clamber up Hen Cloud for the views further into Staffordshire and up onto the dramatic ridge of The Roaches, a place for an optional scramble (Grades 1, 2 or 3).
A highlight is passing through Lud’s Church, a 15m deep chasm where both Robin Hood and Bonnie Prince Charlie are said to have hidden from the authorities in Ye Olden Times.
Distance: 11 miles
Optional scrambling: Grades 1, 2 or 3
Fee: £2 (either send it direct to Gerry or give to me pass on) - being hosted by Meetup costs a big bunch of cash each year, so the £2 keeps us going.
Meet at: Gradbach Car Park (free public parking): HERE
