Scrambling Weekend: Wasdale, Lake District

Details

A lesser travelled and remoter area on the Lake District's far West has a plenty to explore.

Wasdale
Did you know Wasdale Head was the home of British pioneering mountaineering? Mountaineers based themselves at Wasdale Head Inn, making it the oldest "climbers bar/hut" in the UK. In fact "Castor" was the first ever documented scramble.
