Beginners Climbing FOLLOW ON @ Windgather Rocks

This outdoor climbing meet is for people who attended the Beginners Climbing session on 26th April and would like to take the next step.

Fee: Modest event fee of £10.00 towards wear and tear on climbing ropes and gear provided as well as our operating costs. Paying the event fee will secure your place.

NOTE: There will be NO FEE for experienced climbers bringing gear and helping others.

What to bring:
Climbing shoes, harness, belay plate with screwgate carabiner, helmet AND a nut key

Aims of the day:
*Improving skills & confidence of climbing on top rope

• Second a route (take the climbing gear out the rocks as you climb
  *Lead belaying, an essential rock climbing skill
• Seeing the different rock climbing gear & having a go at using it
  *Mock leading (putting gear in the route but still on a top-rope)

NOTE: This is simply an introduction to climbing led by people in the group with experience and not by qualified guides/instructors and it is NOT a learning trad climbing course and there is NO insurance provided.
