Speaker: Dr. Siavash Assadpour
Dr. Siavash Assadpour studied medical and public health education in the United States and Iran. He has held successful senior management and directorial positions in the Iranian Health administration. For many years, he has run WHO and other UN agencies; and guided health promotion and population management projects in Iran. His health advisory projects have been innovative and successful, leading to remarkable award-winning results. Currently, he is active in seniors' health promotion and hosts a popular community health promotion radio and TV program. Dr. Assadpour is the Chief Executive Officer of COHAN (community-oriented health advisory network). He has been a political and social activist in Canada for almost 20 years. He was Board Director [Director of community development] in the IRANIAN CANADIAN CONGRESS. He was also the Board Director of CHATS ORGANIZATION, the largest Canadian organization for Home and Community assistance for seniors in CANADA.
