Critical thinking and protecting from scams

Details
Critical thinking is in limited public supply these days, and as humanists, this is one of the important facets of our lives. It’s something that we need to work with constantly with all the pressure to believe in “fake news.” At this month’s SASH meeting, we’ll talk about skepticism and critical thinking and how to maintain those in our lives.
We’ll take off from our August book club discussion about Steven Novella’s "Skeptic’s Guide to the Universe" and talk about the importance of skepticism in our daily lives. We’ll also discuss many of the scams that appear on our phones and computers these days and how to avoid being scammed and losing money to perpetrators.
Please join us. All are welcome!
