Weekly Massanutten Western Slope Dig Days are on Thursday evenings through October 15! (with a break in the summer)

No experience necessary and we supply the tools

What: Weekly Dig Days on the Western Slope

📍 WHERE: Western Slope of Massanutten. Enter through the main gate (by the horses - the next entrance down the hill from the Western Slope parking lot) and follow the "trail work” signs straight up the road.

📅 WHEN: Thursdays April - end of June

Why: Because trails don’t build (or maintain) themselves—and when we dig together, we build more than just great singletrack. We build community.

🙋 HOW: Sign up, bring a friend, wear work clothes, and we’ll provide the tools and good vibes. No experience is needed. Wear long pants and closed-toed shoes; bring gloves if you have them.
These evenings are fun and productive and a chance to give back to the land and community that gives us so much.

What to bring: Closed-toed shoes, gloves, water, and long pants.

Join us every Thursday for Massanutten Western Slope
Volunteer Dig Days. Everyone is welcome, and you can follow our red trail work signs to the worksite.

Women's Monday Mountain Bike Ride

Join us for a women’s casual mountain bike ride at Massanutten Western Slope on Monday evenings. You do not need a parking pass (if you don’t have a pass just ask a ride leader for one when you arrive) but will need to sign an electronic waiver before the ride.
- Time: 5:30pm on Mondays
- When: April 6th-Oct 26th 2025
- Location: Meet at Massanutten Western Slope Parking Lot
- Pace: Super casual, no-drop ride with regrouping spots along the way.
- Length: Typically 1-1.5 hours and we will often cover 4-6 miles.
- Ride Surface: This is a mountain bike ride so plan for dirt singletrack trails with some rock.
- Regroup Points During Ride? Yes. The Massanutten Western Slope Trails offer lots of options for regrouping and course changes depending on where and what the group wants to ride.
- Post-Ride: Bring a chair, snacks, and a beverage for socializing after if you like!

Weyers Cave Gravel Ride

Join us for a Weyers Cave Gravel Ride from Alpine Goat, a weekly ride led by Jesse Einstein every Monday evening.

Roll out at 6PM from Alpine Goat Brewery, heading out on a scenic 10-mile loop that blends paved roads with a solid serving of gravel. Expect a steady, social pace in the 12–14 mph range. This is a no-drop ride, so no one gets left behind, and regroup points are built in along the way.

Her+ Trail Ramble

Soak up nature and friend-time on the wonderful Massanutten Western Slope trails on Wednesdays during this femme-focused trail run. Specifically, this is a welcoming space for women new to the trails, BIPOC, nonbinary, and trans women.
A parking pass is not necessary for this run (if you don’t have a pass, just ask a run leader for one when you arrive).

However, please sign an electronic waiver before the run!
Time: 5:30p EXCEPT June, July and August are at 6p!
When: Ongoing unless stated on FB/IG stories at @svbcoalitionbike (check there for weather concerns) - if there is a 40% chance of storms on weather.com during 5p-7p, we will cancel.
Location: Meet at Massanutten Western Slope Parking Lot
Pace: ~12 min/miles
Length: Join for the first 3 miles, and continue on for another 3 miles with the group if you’d like!
Run Surface: We run out to the pond on double-track gravel for the first 1.5 miles; the rest is a single-track trail.
Weather/Cancellation: Look for announcements on FB and IG stories and communication channels (@svbcoalition). There will not be an organized SVBC-sponsored event in the forecast for 40% of storms or greater during the time period of 5p-7p (check Weather.com).
Regrouping: This is a community run, designed to regroup at every intersection and stick together. This is not a workout/training day! We all run together :)
Route: We will meet by the parking lot and loop back in 3-mile increments.
