Friday Morning Forest-Roads Ride

Our next ride will be on Friday, 10/11 when we will ride an out-and-back on FSR 61, located on the west side of Reddish Knob. We will meet at the trailhead parking area at 9 AM (see the Google map below for driving directions, all on asphalt roads) and start riding at 9:15.
This is one of our longer Forest Road rides, totaling 22 miles out and back with 2,200 ft of climbing. FSR 61 is a bumpy ride so you’ll want your MTB for comfort. E-bikes are welcome but non-E-bikes will set the overall pace. See the Ride with GPS map below for the out portion of the riding route. We'll take breaks and plan to be back at the cars by 2pm. Since this is an out-and-back, you have the option to ride faster, or ride slower and ride less than the full route, as long as you manage your time to arrive back at the cars by the agreed upon time.
Current forecast (one week outlook) is for sunshine and temperature around 70. Bring lunch/snacks, sunscreen and water.
