Take a guided group bike ride through Harrisonburg to see good (and bad) examples of urbanism in different parts of the city. Together our tour group will learn about the local history of zoning, and how land use policy impacts everything from housing and transportation to tree canopy cover and carbon emissions. This 9-mile round-trip tour is ebike-friendly, and should last about 2 hours.

About your guide: Brent Finnegan is an ebike commuter who has served on the Harrisonburg Planning Commission since 2016. He writes a weekly newsletter calledThe Friendly City Urbanist which focuses on land use, housing, transportation, and local climate policy.
