N. Mason St Open House (Harrisonburg)
Details
The City of Harrisonburg is hosting a public open house to share results from last summer’s North Mason Street demonstration project and discuss next steps — including pursuing grant funding for permanent improvements.
North Mason Street was shaped by urban renewal-era design, with a focus on moving vehicles efficiently. Today, it serves many more users — including people walking, biking, riding transit, and accessing downtown businesses and neighborhoods.
The demonstration project allowed the City to test potential changes in real time and gather data before making long-term decisions.
At the open house, you can review what was learned, see project data, and provide input that may help strengthen upcoming grant applications.
This is a drop-in event. Anyone who uses North Mason Street is encouraged to attend.
