Speaker: Zhongyue Luo from Intel

Profile: Zhongyue is a Big Data Software Engineer at Intel, Shanghai. He got his masters in Computer Science from KAIST. Prior to big data, Zhongyue was working as a full-time contributor to OpenStack projects. His current interests are containers, data center scheduling, and big data platform virtualization.

Abstract: The increasing demand for big data analytics is inducing companies to deploy more servers in their data centers. However due to the mean time between failures (MTBF) of physical machines, the cost for operation increases proportional to the number of servers in your data center. In this talk, we will introduce a big data analytics platform built on top of Apache Mesos. Our big data analytics platform is highly scalable and fault tolerant which makes it easy to manage servers in large scale. We will focus on how we deploy and manage the core components which include Apache Marathon, Apache Myriad, hdfs-mesos, and CDAP. At the end, we will conduct a demo of deploying a Hadoop cluster within three minutes.
