WE ARE HERE WE SEE YOU--Community Demonstration
Details
We are gathering to see and be seen. The Trump administration is trying to make us feel like we are powerless, like we don't matter, but our voices, our actions, and our love–are EVERYTHING. We are gathering to build resilience together as a community through group meditation, breathwork, music, dance, and sharing. We are gathering to hold our leaders accountable and show them that we stand for love and nothing less. They need to know that we will vote them out if they stand by and do nothing. Showing up and gathering MATTERS. Don't let them make you believe it doesn't. Community is resistance. We will be meeting In the area of the park that borders Hazeltine Ave and Huston St.
This event is for the people who feel awkward at normal protests and enjoy structure and organization. This is a peaceful demonstration that borders on collective performance art. We ask that you come open, vulnerable, and ready to play.
Wear colorful clothing! This demonstration should be beautiful and bright. If you want to make signs or posters with eyes on them to emphasize our theme of WE SEE YOU, that would be fantastic!
We're rising high and doing this 4/20 Easter right, baby. (Plz don't come high and weird to the event though y'all. We're keeping it cute and clean 😘).
Who is it behind this madness? I'm Natalie, and I'm not some hippie weirdo who wears a wide brimmed hat here in LA trying to get you to be all weird in the park (although I do love me an adventure hat). I'm an actor, singer, creator, and facilitator from Wisconsin where good people know how to organize for change. Feel free to reach out @natalie.lall on IG with questions.
