What we’re about
Are you an aspiring marketer waiting to breakout of the box? Or an experienced marketer with a strong desire to cultivate your own brand of thought leadership? Whichever crossroad you're at in your marketing career, you've come to the right place.
Years of formal education and online courses in marketing made me realize, there's no better way to master the craft than actual, hands-on practical skills from working in marketing. The more I learnt from others, the faster I grew.
This is a group for all aspiring and experienced female marketing professionals who want to broaden their professional networks, learn new strategies through best practice sharing and bring some insightful learnings back to their agencies and organisations.
What's in it for you?
- Learning through real-life examples: It’s your chance to share examples of groundbreaking marketing feats or strategies or learn from guest speakers about a wide range of topics that range from career breakthroughs, how to generate more leads or create more brand awareness etc.
- Developing a solid network driven by shared interests: These meet-ups are an opportunity to talk to people who are just one or two steps ahead of you career-wise and discuss ideas and experiences on what your next steps could be.
- Develop a strategic mindset: It’s your chance to hone your strategic acumen in marketing by working through challenges and workshops in groups with other marketers and get feedback on what works and what doesn’t. We will organise new activities and challenges for marketers from all stages of their careers.
- Support your organization or marketing teams: Get new insights, ideas and opportunities to help your organization and marketing team better.
Agenda & Format of the Meetings:
Planning for our first ever meetup is currently underway. However, we have an rough outline of the agenda: we will kick off with some networking and snack and drinks time, followed by the key insights and strategy presentation and open the floor up for discussions. Join the group now to get notified about the first Meetup event.
Is this group just for women?
Women’s voices are often underrepresented in business which is why we experience more growth when we take a more collaborative approach to building our careers, gain media attention, develop our personal brand and thought leadership and improve our subject matter expertise. By coming together and learning from each other, we can counter the gender bias head-on in marketing, PR and sales. However, with that said, this group is open for anyone who is passionate about marketing, sales and all things related. Marketing and sales professionals from all stages of careers are welcome :)
Would you like to speak?
If you are a women working in marketing and you're interested in giving a lightning (~10 min) talk about your career in marketing or share groundbreaking strategies and campaigns please reach out - we'd love to hear from you. Feel free to help us spread the word and invite other women in marketing to our community! And if there are specific topics that you would like to see discussed then please let us know. We are always happy to explore new ideas :)
