SheWorks Social: Books, Brews & Board Games at Oldspeak

Whether you’re in the mood to chat about books, Boise life, favorite restaurants—or challenge someone to Scrabble—this is a chance to unwind and enjoy each other’s company off the clock.

This event will center around easy board games and conversation, so feel free bring a favorite game—chess, cards, or any other game you’d like to share. I’ll bring Scrabble.

Oldspeak Bar in Garden City is a cozy “book‑beer bar” concept where literature meets libations—offering curated reading material from an indie bookstore alongside craft beers from Alliteration Ales and community-driven events in a warm, book-lined setting. They also serve mocktails, coffee drinks, and light bites, so there’s something for everyone.

Note: This is Labor Day weekend but should be fun for those who are staying in town. If attendance is too low, we can reschedule.
