🏐 Shibuya Miyashita Park Beach Volleyball Meetup

We’re organizing casual beach volleyball sessions right in the heart of Shibuya at Miyashita Park’s outdoor sand courts! Beginners are welcome, and all levels can join—the goal is to play, move, and have fun.

📍 Venue: Miyashita Park Sand Courts (outdoor, with night lighting)
🕒 Time: 7pm-9pm
👥 Capacity: Limited 18 people
💰 Participation Fee: Between ¥500–¥1,000 depending on the number of participants (we split the court rental fee).

Event schedule

• First 30min: net set up + warm-up (please come early and help if you can)
• Main session: games & rotations
• Last 20min: clean up together (we need to leave the court as we found it)

Important notes

• The court can only be booked under a registered group (we’ve handled the registration already).
• Fees vary depending on time of day (¥6,500–¥10,000/hour + lighting after 18:00), so splitting costs fairly is important.
• No-shows or last-minute cancellations will count against future participation, and the fee will still be charged (via PayPay).
• Bring your own water, towel, and sportswear.
• Everyone must have their own health insurance, the organizers aren’t responsible for injuries.
• This is a community-run group, so please help set up and pack up the equipment.
  ✨ This is an all-level session: absolute beginners, casual players, and experienced ones are all welcome. The main goal is to have fun and enjoy a game of volleyball in the middle of Tokyo!

📑 Administrative details (for facility registration)
The Miyashita Park sand court can only be rented by registered groups, and the fee depends on whether members are Shibuya ward residents or not.

• Resident discount: If most members live, work, or study in Shibuya, we can book earlier and at the regular rate.
• Non-resident groups: Fees are double and reservations open later.
  👉 For this reason, we need to ask participants for simple documents to validate their status (resident, worker, or student in Shibuya). These are only used for the facility’s registration process.

✅ How to provide your documents

1. Choose the right document

• If you live in Shibuya → Driver’s license, health insurance card (with address), or My Number card
• If you work in Shibuya → Employee ID or employment certificate
• If you study in Shibuya → Student ID or enrollment certificate
  (Business cards, utility bills, and My Number notification cards are not accepted.)

2. Send it to us

• Send a photo/scan by email to the organizer

3. We’ll handle the registration

• The documents are only used for the facility registration at the Miyashita Park office.
• Once registered, you don’t need to send them again.
