Sandlot + Field of Dreams + Planet Fitness Meets = Saturday Sunrise Baseball

The vision for Shilito Sunrise Baseball was inspired by Kentucky Genomes hitting coach and University of Texas Longhorns Hall of Famer Lindsay Gardner (IG @justdigin) facilitating hitting instruction to Nic Collier and me while catching knuckleballer Terrell Renfro at Wild Health Field. Later that workout Lindsay also pitched a couple of innings and got her live at-bat hacks in too.

Shilito Sunrise Baseball’s mission is to enhance people's lives by providing a high-quality baseball experience in a welcoming, non-intimidating environment, which we call the Judgement Free Zone, where anyone – and we mean anyone – can play and feel they belong.

When’s the last time you stared down a knuckleballer while trying to drive in a ghost runner on second base for a walk off win?

Ages 18-108 and all skill levels welcome.

*** We will be on the big field on the hill. If you are near the Little League fields, you are in the wrong spot. Drive toward the tennis courts, but turn on the side road by the tennis courts. Drive past the tennis courts once you turn on the side road, then drive past the basketball courts, and then you will be in the right spot.

Cost: $0 (Although donations of a couple batting practice balls and an occasional brand new game ball or two are appreciated fir playing game/scrimmages/ live at bats. Also, I did set up a payment option if you’d rather make a donation toward balls.

Please help spread the word.
