Sh*t At Soccer - Women & Nonbinary Folks

We're trying out a new location this week! I've heard tales that it's a bit less of a dust bowl than our current field, and it's not far away. Also, we're meeting on Tuesday rather than Friday as Ellie (host) is in Portland on the 1st.

6:00-6:30 - Chatting & easy warmup games
6:30-8:00 - Scrimmage!! We play on a smaller than standard field and switch off who is in goal. While it's definitely a workout, it's more fun than competitive - we rarely ever keep score and we cheer for everyone.

What to bring:
WATER, Sneakers, Clothes you can move in

Don't let lack of supplies stop you from showing up. I bring a ball, pinnies, cones, etc and we actually request folks NOT wear cleats to prevent injuries from getting stepped on. Depending on weather/season, I also recommend sunglasses, sunscreen, and mosquito repellent. And again, WATER.

Rules:

2. No dudes! Sorry, guys
3. Don't be the reason we have to make a third rule

Inclusivity: We're an intentionally queer group - Most of our group members are queer and the founder/host is an out lesbian.

Parking: This is a new location we're trying out, but it should still have free street parking around the park and in the park's lot! But we'll report back on how it goes :)

Accessibility: We take regular water/rest breaks and folks can sub in/out of games whenever. Most of us are not in shape. Full disclosure: This is a new location and I have not tried out their bathroom.s I don't own a rattle ball, but I'm happy to use it if you bring it. I bring a small first aid kit and ice packs in case of injuries.

Can I come late/leave early?: Yes! Our format makes it easy to accommodate whatever time you have.

Dogs: This park frequently has off leash dogs running around.

I don't have an official permit/reservation for the field (costs $), so if someone shows up who has it (has never happened) then we have to move.
