Pickup soccer with sapphic and nonbinary folks!
12:00pm-12:15pm - Chatting & easy warmup games
12:15-2:00pm- Play soccer!! We play scrimmage on a half-sized field. While it's still a bit of a workout, we don't keep score and we focus more on the fun than the competition.
What to bring:
WATER and shoes/clothes you can move in.
Cleats and shin guards are optional, we'll provide cones and balls.
We ask for a 5$ suggested donation per event - feel free to venmo us ahead of time at @shitatsoccer, bring cash, or scan the QR code at the event. If you’re a student or unemployed, don’t worry about it.

Transit/Parking: Super easy!! Judkins has a parking lot and tons of free street parking, plus it's close to the transit station and several bus lines.
Accessibility: We take regular water/rest breaks. Full disclosure: the bathrooms are porta potties and the water fountain is always broken. I don't own a rattle ball, but I'm happy to use it if you bring it. I bring a small first aid kit, extra water bottles, and ice packs.
Can I come late/leave early? Can I just watch?: Yep! Do whatever works for you.
Dogs: This park frequently has off leash dogs running around.
What’s the weather plan?: We don’t have specific guidelines for when we cancel. Check the posts under this event, our Instagram story, or the group chat for updates on weather cancellations - I usually post cancellations in all three at least a few hours in advance.
How many people will there be?: During the summer, we typically have 30-40 people each week. This is our first season doing Winter pickup, but I’m guestimating around 15-25 people. Most people do NOT rsvp on meetup, so we usually have at least double the number that are registered.
**Nonbinary/genderqueer folks and trans women/trans femmes all welcome and invited :) The host (Ellie) is nonbinary and excited to have y'all.
