I'm hosting a street photography walk at one of my favourite locations to capture in Vienna, its famous funfair Prater.

This is a free-to-attend walk (with donations welcome at the end if you can afford to pay something).

Home to the Wiener Riesenrad (the Ferris wheel featured in film noir classic ‘The Third Man’), this location offers plenty to photograph in terms of its entertaining rides, people and history.

This will be an opportunity to meet with other friendly photographers, and to get some tips on street photography for those who are interested.

The walk takes place outside, but please use common sense in terms of being courteous to others in regards to concerns about coronavirus.

Should there be a wish to visit a cafe/bar after the event, please ensure you bring a facemask and conform to the ‘3G’ rule (see https://www.austria.info/en/service-and-facts/coronavirus-information)

All are welcome - whether you're a tourist or a local.

All events take place in English.

To bring with you on the day:

  • Mobile phone (to contact me if you get lost!)
  • Warm clothing and comfortable shoes
  • 50 cent coins for use of the toilets at Prater
  • Any kind of camera as long as you know how to use it (it’s not a workshop on how to use a camera): digital, analogue, mobile phone

As places are limited, please update your attendance if you sign up and then can't make it, so that someone else can take your place.
